Bulgartransgaz
Construction of a new "future-ready" information system for the collection, archiving, and visualization of technological information from the gas transmission network of "Bulgartransgaz" EAD (SCADA or system) for the Northeastern Operational Region, Valchi Dol.
Design, equipment supply, construction, and implementation of an information system for control, collection, archiving, and visualization of technological information (SCADA system) in Northeastern Operational Region “Valchi Dol,” including the following stages and activities:
Stage 1: Audit of the current situation and preparation of a working project;
Stage 2: Supply of necessary licenses, software, hardware, and related components, development software, and required hardware for system maintenance;
Stage 3: Development of user software and conduction of factory tests;
Stage 4: Installation and commissioning of the SCADA system, installation of RTU, protocol converters, servers, network equipment, integration of existing PLC;
Stage 5: Training of the Client’s personnel in usage (operational use), administration, configuration, and maintenance of the system;
Stage 6: Preparation of operational documentation;
Stage 7: Warranty maintenance.
UGS Chiren exchanging existing PLC and SCADA system
The company Bright Engineering has a contract for exchanging the existing programmable logical controller Honeywell S9100e and the existing Experion PKS SCADA system in UGS “Chiren”, which includes design, delivery of equipment, construction and implementation of a DCS control system of the technological processes in UGS “Chiren”.
For the execution of this this task the following activities are predicted:
- Making of a technical and work project for execution of the object of this order;
- Delivery of the necessary licenses, software and hardware;
- Exchanging the existing network between the controllers and the servers. Installing a new reserved network between them, compliant with the requirements of the new controller, servers and working stations. Reserving of the network to the work stations;
- Installing a new optical network between “New Manifold Room”, “Communication Room – АТЦ“ and the controllers in “Осушка”, “КРУ 0.4/20kV”, “Dispatch Room” and “Compressor workshop – regulating productivity of two units gas compressors ГМК10”;
- Installation of programmable logical controller;
- Installation of the hardware for the DCS system;
- Installation of the software, licenses and configuration files. Integration of the controller in the DCS system of UGS “Chiren” and reconfiguring the taken logic in the newly delivered controller, so that all the controlled installations and equipment can remain fully functional. Readdressing the data points, concerning the controller exchange. Integrating the existing information systems, control systems and communication connections;
- Carrying out singular and complex testing for the realization of the project and operations with regards to connecting it to the units and installations of the existing working systems in UGS “Chiren”;
- Preparation of operational documentation;
- Delivery of reserve parts and maintenance equipment;
To this moment technical and operational documents have been prepared and approved by the Contracting Authority. The necessary hardware components have been delivered. The panel with the elements for the new control system has been assembled and delivered, based on the PCS7 v9.0 from Siemens. At the moment the reserved optical network is being constructed. It is expected to be ready by the middle of April. The complete task is expected to be concluded by Fall 2020.
Modernization of automatic control systems (ACS) of gas compressor units
Modernization of the automatic control systems (ACS) of gas compressor units (GCU) and general plant systems of Compressor Station (CS) “Valchi dol” and Compressor Station (CS) ” Polsky Senovets”
The project includes two Compressor Stations – CS “Valchi Dol” with six GCU and CS “Polsky Senovets ” with four GCU. The object of the reconstruction are the control systems of the gas compressor units (GCU) and general plant systems.
For each GCU is changed except the control system and the control – measuring devices (for pressure, temperature, level);
- New collectors for instrumentation air and pulsed gas are build.
- The oil and lubricating systems of each GCU are automated by supplied and installed new electrical control valves.
- The pilot valves and position indicators on all cranes are replaced. New cable routes are installed and new wiring is performed, new intelligent multimeters of the main engines of GCU are installed.
- The protective and switching equipment of the auxiliary devices (pumps, coolers, fans) is replaced. New uninterruptible power source is supplied and installed, which ensures reliable operation of the systems.
- Up to now is performed reconstruction of GCU №1, №2, №3, №4, №5, №6 in CS “Valchi Dol”.
Fiscal and control systems for GIS Strandzha
During the construction of the new Gas-Metering Station “Strandzha”, realizing the new connection between the gas transporting networks of Bulgaria and Turkey, part of the “Balkan Flow”, the company “Bright Engineering” Ltd was a complex supplier of the fiscal and control systems. The company did the design, delivery of the individual components and the assembly of the systems.
The control system is based on the DCS system for automatic control PCS7 from Siemens. A reserved controller s7-410 is used.
The following components were delivered and commissioned into operation for the fiscal system:
- Ultrasonic flowmeters FLOWSIC600-XT DN400 from SICK, characterized by high accuracy of measurement, paired with straight sections.
- Correctors of expenditure FLOW-X S/T
- Sensors for temperature and pressure measurement
- Gas chromatographs for measuring the exact composition of the natural gas
- Analyzers for dew point, mercaptans and H2S
- Standard turbine flow meter for periodic check of the separate measuring lines by the company RMG.
The station owns 8 measuring lines and the full capacity may be achiever with 6 of them. One extra line is used for the check procedure and one line is a reserve. The eight lines are identical and a priority may be set for which line to work. Through the developed algorithms the control system automatically turns on and off lines depending on the load on the station.
